We Arrived in Ghana. Thank You Jesus.
We arrived in Ghana on Friday evening safely. Praise God for a great flight that Donna and I were able to sleep on. Ghana is lot busier then I had imagined. I did not see the first elephant or monkey for that matter. We got through all the craziness at the airport and finally found Ike which had a sign printed "AAI BLANCHARD" It looked like a match to me so we said lets go. Off we were to the Taxi. We had plenty of help getting to the Taxi. It took us about 1 1/2 hours to travel 30 miles. Sort of reminded me of I-64 in Hampton Roads except we have really nice asphalt. I know we have an occasional pot hole but folks lets be real thankful for our pot holes. Ghana roads are made mostly of red dirt with pot holes or some you may call craters. The Taxi drivers avoid them thankfully. We arrived at the Rye Manor Guest house where we will stay for five nights. Finally we met Anita which is in Ghana working for two weeks. She is the AAI adoption lady that we have worked with for many months. What a servant she is for The Least of These. No kidding. We then had our very first Ghanian meal. Chicken and Rice. Anita told them to go easy on the spice. Let me tell you, the food was very good but it was smoking hot. Glad they went easy on the hot stuff. Well, it was time to called it a night. More later.
