Yep, that's right! Our babies are coming HOME! We could not be more excited! God is SO good and His hand has truly been on this process, but especially through the last step. Here's what I mean...
Esi's passport was printed August 17. We then e-mailed the embassy people to get a visa appointment. We didn't get a response for about a week and then we got an e-mail on Monday, August 27 saying that our appointment was on Tuesday, August 28. Yeah, the NEXT day! Talk about excitement! They did not have the kids medicals yet, but the visa people were SO gracious to tell our POA that he could come back Wednesday with the medicals and they could issue a print date. Unfortunately the medicals were not ready on Wednesday so he had to wait until Tuesday to take them back. Monday was a holiday in Ghana like it is in the US. Here's the awesome God moment. He took the medicals on Tuesday, September 4 and we all expected to hear a print date. Print dates for visas are on Fridays so we assumed it would probably be next Friday and that was okay, but God had a different plan. The visa people told our POA to wait for a minute. He wasn't sure what they were doing, but when they came back, they had Esi and Samuel's visas in HAND! Y'all it was a TUESDAY! We didn't even have a print date! Just typing this seriously gives me chills.
My dad had texted me a picture of the visas and it was a little late so I wasn't comprehending what they said so I called him and he told me the good news and I just started bawling. Totally God. My roommates weren't sure what to think, but they are SO excited too!
I cannot believe it is time for our kids to come home! We are all so excited. It is so hard to believe that the prayer of a 15 year old was heard two years later and now two more people are being added to the family. Crazy. Please be praying as we figure out the last details of the kids coming home. We are over the moon! We are SO grateful for all of you who have prayed with us and walked through these sixteen months with us!
